Arrive & Check In
Come 10–15 minutes early. Bring your ID, insurance card, and a medication list. You can fill out forms in advance through the patient portal.
Your Exam
Our team will do visual acuity testing and advanced retinal imaging — OCT and fundus photography — giving Dr. Elmann a full picture before he sees you.
Dialation
Almost every retina exam requires dilating drops. They take about 20–30 minutes to work. Your near vision will be temporarily blurry and you'll be light-sensitive for a few hours.
Talking Through What We Found
Dr. Elmann will sit with you, go through your images, and explain exactly what he sees — in plain language. If there's a problem, you'll hear about it directly, along with all your options. No decisions without you.
You Plan
If treatment is needed, we schedule it promptly and make sure you're comfortable with every step. Follow-up care is built in from the beginning — you're not left figuring it out alone.
